Aim

This site began with an intent to share on visits to the four sacred sites in Dec 2017 and 2019. It seemed relevant especially with Covid-19 since 2020.

In 2021-2022, some like-minded friends came together to initiate an online project to exchange interpretations of Buddhist art, and we thought it could be hosted here as well.

After all, the first section is a travel journal, and the second, a creative, art one.

About the site owners

Just so you know our inclinations.

We are lay people, who consider ourselves Buddhists. We mainly refer to Theravada teachings, although we are respectful and curious about other Buddhist traditions as well.

While we visit temples occasionally, this site is not affiliated with any formal organisations or institutions, and is a voluntary, free, unpaid initiative. We believe that spiritual journeys and growth are personal and take the form of personal endeavours, in terms of practice, participation, and contemplation.

We thank our teachers for their guidance and all contributors as well. We share any arising merits with all beings. Any fault remain our own, and we ask for your forgiveness. This website is a work in progress, as are our practices.
